 General Biology (BS120): 3 credits 


   Spring Semester : Tuesday & Thursday; 9:00 - 10:30, Creative building Rm 202

 Introduction of the course

This general biology is designed to makefreshmen get acquainted with the concepts of biology and their connections to our lives. The appreciation for how biology works have become essential elements of good citizenship in an era when the understanding of health and environmental issues are even more critical than ever before.

All freshmen, either majoring in biologyor not in their senior years, are required to take this one-semester biology course as mandatory. This class consists of two 90-minute lectures per week for 3 credits, given in English. The topics covered in this lecture are selected from the Biology, R. J. Brooker, E. P. Widmaier, L. E. Graham and P. Stiling, McGraw-Hill Higher Education. 2008 at Prof. Sun Chang Kims discretion.  For further information about the weekly schedule of this lecture, please refer to the syllabus above.

 Grading system


   1. Midterm exam - 35 %
 2. Final exam -  35 %
